Program Assistant
FoodShare Toronto is looking for a Program Assistant to support the Community Kitchens, Good Food Box and Community Garden Programs. The Program Assistant will support daily operation of Good Food Programs and have the opportunity to connect with community members through community gardens and delivering food demonstrations at Good Food Markets, working alongside staff in each of these teams.

Finance and Operations Manager
The Manager of Finance and Operations will be a strategic thought-partner and report to the Executive Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Meal Exchange’s finance and operations functions. This position requires a person with keen attention to detail and the ability and desire to multi-task and take on a wide range of responsibilities. Experience with financial oversight, budgeting experience and accounting is required.

The Stop is currently looking to hire Relief Chefs. This is an on-call position. Depending on availability, Relief Chefs will be called in as needed to fill in for a variety of shifts, working with a team of volunteers to deliver high quality, nutritious and fresh meals as part of The Stop’s Drop-in community dining program and Market Café.

Black Creek Community Farm- Urban Harvest Community Leader
Do you love cooking and food preservation? Do you have passion to learn and teach others about food waste reduction? The Urban Harvest Black Creek, an urban food initiative with the City of Toronto to reduce waste, is looking for 12 Community Leaders to be trained in facilitating canning & preservation workshops.
Requirements
• Be at least 18 years old and a resident of Jane-Finch community and surrounding area
• Commit to attend 3 training workshops
• Willing to co-lead at least 2 canning and preservation workshops for the community
Those who successfully completed the training will facilitate engaging, hands-on, and culturally relevant community cooking and preservation workshops across 4 community kitchen sites.

Ideal candidates will have a balance of left and right brain thinking with both sharp attention to detail, technical know-how, problem solving skills, administrative and logistical prowess; as well as an eye for digital marketing, the capacity to parse complex issues into clear sentences, strategic thinking and political acumen. A successful candidate will be equally at ease chatting on the phone with farmers as they are chatting on Slack.
This position is funded through the Jobs Creation Partnership program. Participants will be paid the maximum employment benefits for a total of 42 weeks
